Leah Mathew: Some things that about Renton Prep that I love the most are that they are like family to me, the students are like siblings to me. It gives me a motivation to contrite to school here, to become someone I want to be when I grow up. I love Seattle it’s so diverse from people all over the world. I go to school with students from many different cultures—I don’t have to go to those places to learn about them.
Sheeba Philip (Leah’s Mom): I came here as a permanent resident after my marriage in order to join my husband- I came from India. After that God gave me the opportunity to come to the beautiful city of Seattle full of trees, rivers, valleys and fresh air, we do appreciate Seattle.
Leah: Because we are Microsoft Showcase School, we use surfaces everyday. The good thing about being a Microsoft Showcase School is having the Microsoft tools. We can literally explore and find out things no one has ever learned or researched about.
Sheeba: I am praying and wishing for all the kids whoever joined to this school, to show that God’s love through their education. As a family we give more importance to moral values. At the end of the day we want them to be a person who can help and who can love our neighbors as ourselves.
Leah: My family appreciated that Renton Prep had a Christian based environment. There was a lot of peer pressure at other middle schools that we noticed Renton Prep and Amazing Grace didn’t have. So we said if it was a Christian school we would look more into it. That it how we came to Renton Prep and Amazing Grace.
