This is an optional field trip – but highly recommended. Education experts will rotate students through a STEM challenge and experience flying in the wind tunnel assisted by a coach and certified instructor. The instructors also do a demonstration and show physics in action with water poured in the wind tunnel and various objects. We selected the option to allow each student to have two flights. Students have an option to add on an additional high flight where instructors will take them higher up in the wind tunnel. If your child chooses not to attend, they may remain at school to work on alternate aeronautics and physics learning. Or, they may attend the field trip and observe rather than flying in the wind tunnel. You will receive group event information soon that we will need completed to officially count your student in to the final numbers. If any adult chaperones wish to purchase a pass to join, please let us know so we can add you to the event list before we make the final payment.
This play is based on a book by Idris Goodwin, and is Directed by Malika Overtimein. This play is set in a time long before he changed his name, a 12-year-old Cassius Clay knew he would be a hero someday, no matter what anyone else had to say. You can find out about the play here.
We’re excited to learn more about one of the premier Indian Classical dance ensembles performing today. The ensemble made The New York Times “Best Dance of the Year” list two years in a row (2015, 2016). You can see more about the ensemble on their website here. We have more free tickets available to chaperones, but you would need to meet us there as our chartered bus is full. Please let us know if you’d like to join.
Enjoy the Fourth of July with your friends, family, and loved ones!
